I have participants from various generations and countries joining my lessons every day.

While the piano learning backgrounds and goals of my students may differ, I are delighted to share the joy of learning music with all of you!

Here, I would like to share some feedback from my lesson participants, both from in-person and online lessons.

(24th January 2024, this is an ongoing update)

At a very young age I was very keen on starting the piano. When I was about 7 years old, my parents made an internet search and found Erina. Since starting lessons, my experience has always been excellent with Erina as she is such a lovely, understanding and motivating teacher.

remember that not long after I started lessons the first lockdown hit and my lessons had to be on zoom. Despite this, Erina did her very best to make my lessons constructive and very enjoyable all the same.

My experiences have always been fantastic and I do not think there is anything really to improve.

Erina is an amazing teacher and she has helped me come along so much as a pianist and as a musician generally as well. I would recommend Erina to all those out there, of any age, who would like to have a lot of fun whilst learning a wonderful instrument, the piano!

The girls always look forward to their lessons !

The girls have learnt piano for 1-2 years. They enjoy music and the aim is to encourage their playing and musical education so that they can continue to play and enjoy music when they are older.
The girls always look forward to their lessons and come out happy and enthusiastic. So this is a perfect environment to nurture a love of music.

The correct teacher who will inspire your child is critical. Learning an instrument is not easy and it requires parents to put in effort in the early years. An inspirational teacher is also essential to keep the child enthusiastic to learn.

I can honestly say, I have never enjoyed piano lessons as much before.  I am very very happy to be studying with Erina!

I had four piano teachers as a child and a further piano teacher for a year when I was a student. I did a little theory with some of these teachers but mostly it was learning scales, learning and practising new pieces and preparing for the Grades I to V examinations.

I have always had a piano to play on either at college or in the schools where I taught or at home from the age of 25 when I got my first piano. However, I didn't have any lessons for fifty years. During this time I played old pieces, taught myself the occasional new one, and sometimes (reluctantly) accompanied the children's singing and dancing when I was a primary school teacher and the music specialists weren't available.

Before my first lesson with Erina, I had a vague idea of wanting to "improve" and also wanted to check that I was playing the pieces I had learnt by myself reasonably accurately. This is still a goal but developing a deeper understanding and therefore greater enjoyment is as important. I also now have this feeling of (daringly) wanting to, if only in a small way, do the music better justice.

I feel more confident that I have something to say through the music if only to myself! I hope this doesn't sound too grandiose, but I like the meeting of the composers' intentions and my feelings and, albeit limited, understanding of their music. I realise that even an amateur like me can interact with the music in a meaningful way. Music is for everyone.

I love the way Erina uses imagery - walking through the woods, the sounds coming from near and far, flowers opening and closing, and coming home at the end of a piece. I find this very helpful and inspiring.

I am happy to leave it all in Eina's capable hands. It has been revelatory. I can honestly say, I have never enjoyed piano lessons as much before. I am very very happy to be studying with her. Thank you.

They are not afraid to create their own music !

Erina's website was really easy to find. We loved how much enthusiasm you had for piano disciplines - theory, technique - and Erina's piano is wonderful.

Henry and George are gaining confidence and enjoy practising which is brilliant.
They are not afraid to creat their own music- which sound suprisingly good!
I am sure it's because you encourage them to explore and play with the sounds - and ask them lots of questions, to get them thinking and understanding. It is going really well. Thank you!

I have started piano lessons to develop my musical understanding and to enjoy learning a new instrument.
I find lessons with Erina are always enjoyable, with varied teaching methods, a good blend of practical and theory, and I am able to achieve good progress with learning goals. Erina creates a relaxed and positive atmosphere for learning.

I would recommend Erina as a piano teacher for both children and adult learners. Pupils are achieving rapid progress, with opportunities to participate in home concerts and performance. Lessons are always interesting and enjoyable with an encouraging and positive atmosphere for musical development.

Erina is an excellent teacher for exam preparation, accompaniment in exams and also for those who want to enjoy music and are learning piano for pleasure.

I learn something new and eye-opening every time!

I started learning the piano as an adult. I used to attend adult piano classes in Japan, but when I moved to the UK, I had to withdraw. I wanted to continue learning the piano in the UK, so I found your website and started taking lessons.

The lessons have been fantastic! The instructor not only teaches piano techniques and musical interpretation but also covers a wide range of topics, including musicians, history, and music theory in great detail.
I learn something new and eye-opening every time. Also, being able to experience the beautiful sound of the grand piano is one of the reasons I look forward to the lessons.

I enjoy listening to other students' performances at home concerts and occasionally performing in front of others (even though I get quite nervous). It's very inspiring.

I wanted to start piano lessons because I really liked playing on our piano and I wanted to learn more. I went to a piano concert and I really liked it.
So I started having piano lessons and after lots of lessons I said that I loved piano lessons.

I am getting really good at piano. Favourite memories are playing at Erina's concerts. I like just being able to play the piano, especially a baby grand piano.

I would recommend Erina. She is patient and able to encourage learning by arranging concerts for her students to play in.
